                    Oliver Colin Mather was born in 1880 the son of Henry Austin Mather, architect. He was articled to Woodhouse and Willoughby 1896-1900 whilst attending the Manchester School of Art and Manchester Technical School, 1900-1911 was an assistant in the Co-operative Wholesale Society Architects Department - Francis Eldred Lodge Harris, chief architect. Elected LRIBA 20 March 1911, proposed by F E L Harris, J H Woodhouse and A Pursglove. He was included in the list of Licentiates in the RIBA Kalendar for 1919/1920 but not in subsequent editions
