In the 1860s Peter Peirce was a member of the firm of Thackrah and Peirce, Joiners, builders, and general contractors of London and Stockport in partnership with Joseph Thackrah. Following his bankruptcy in 1867 he commenced practice as architect and surveyor, still in Stockport.
