Mayor of Blackpool, 1897 and 1898 ; County Councillor, 1897 to 1899 ; Alderman of the borough, and member of the Council for twelve years ; Chairman of the Markets and Street Lighting Committees ; Justice of the Peace for Lancashire since 1896, and the borough of Blackpool since the formation of the Borough Bench ; Commissioner of Income Tax ; member of the Fylde Water Board, and of the Hospital Board ; Director of the Blackpool Steam Packet Company; Director of the Royal Hotel Company ; architect and surveyor, practising at 34, Birley Street, Blackpool; has erected the Conservative Club, Devonshire Road Board Schools, Victory Hotel, Waterloo Hotel, King Edward Hotel, South Shore Hydro, Lancaster Bank, Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank, Catholic Schools, and many other buildings in Blackpool.
