Warren Blackshaw was born in Stockport on 16 April 1882 and trained as an architect being elected LRIBA in 1912. About 1908 he entered into partnership with John Ernest Wrathmell under the style Wrathmell and Blackshaw in Stockport, He continued the practice under the same name following Wrathmell’s death in 1933. Much of their work was for the Stockport Equitable and Industrial Co-operative Society.
