The son of James Dinsley, United Methodist minister and his wife, Elizabeth, William Hugill Disley was born at Newport Pagnell in the summer of 1856. W H Dinsley practised in Chorley. Although essentially a local architect, he obtained a significant number of commissions for Methodist Chapels across England.
