31 Market Street Altrincham

This building stood on the corner of Market Street and Pott Street between the Market Place and the Hospital. It served as offices and meeting rooms for the Altrincham and Bowdon Provident Society and included living accommodation for the secretary of the Society. In the 1950s it housed a training school and accommodation for nurses from the adjacent hospital. It was demolished in the 1960s and replaced by a Post Office building, which itself has now been demolished to make way for the new Health and Wellbeing Centre.
