ENGLISH MARTYRS SCHOOL STONE LAYING – The foundation stone of the new school of the English Martyrs, Urmston, was laid on Saturday by Mrs J A Lyons, wife of the Prime Minister of Australia. Canon O’Kelly, deputising for the Bishop of Salford, first blessed the stone. Mrs Lyons said that it was the first time in her life she had performed such a ceremony. …..
