BARLOW MOOR METHODIST CHURCH – The stone laying ceremony at Barlow Moor Methodist Church, Maitland Avenue, Chorlton, now being built, took place on Saturday. The building, which stands in a new housing district, will be of Gothic design. The architects are Messrs A Brocklehurst and Company, Manchester, and the work is being carried out by Messrs C H Normanton and Son, Limited. Seating accommodation for 400 persons is to be provided, and the total cost of the building with school will be about £6,500, towards which £3,000 has been promised by an anonymous donor.
