                    BOARD SCHOOL, SUMMIT, LANCASHIRE – This school has just been opened. It takes the place of the old Wesleyan School. Messrs Preston and Dryland were the contractors, Messrs Butterworth and Duncan the architects. The school has been planned as a central hall school, to accommodate 426 scholars; but at present provision has been made for only 246 scholars. These will be accommodated as follows: 90 in what will become the central hall, but is now the principal schoolroom; two classrooms for 48 scholars each, and an infants’ classroom for 60 scholars.
