At the Styal Cottage Homes, belonging to the Manchester Board of Guardians, the Bishop of Chester has formally dedicated a new chapel. It accommodates 618 children, and has cost £4,000. The work is carried out in a characteristic Cheshire style in brick and half‑timber work, with red‑tiled roof. Mr F H Overmann, of King Street. Manchester, was the architect.
