Demolition of the stables in Crumpsall Lane is now being carried out so that the erection of the new Cleveland Hotel can begin almost immediately. [Manchester City News 20 August 1938]
CRUMPSALL - Work on the new Cleveland Hotel, Crumpsall Lane, is going quickly. The contractor is James Cocker Limited, Walkden, and the architect is Mr W(sic) Hartley Hacking of Manchester.
