Extensive publicity was given to the new Club House which was built on the course to a design by Lancaster Architects, C. B. Pearson and Son and built by Edmondson Brothers at a cost of £5,000. At that time the great feature of the building were the terraces with flat roofs "where members may sit or take light refreshment with a wonderful panorama of the links and the coast in front and a view behind of the countryside of Lancaster and the Pennines". The Heysham Power Stations were not even little acorns in those days!
