COLLIERY PENSIONERS’ COTTAGES - Four cottages, built by the Manvers Main Collieries Limited, Wath-on-Dearne, (South Yorkshire), in honour of the Silver Jubilee of King George were formally opened last week. The cottages are to be tenanted by four of the colliery’s 350 pensioners without charge for rent, coal, or electric light. The cottages were designed by Mr T Brammall Daniel FRIBA of London, and have been built in the village of Adwick, one mile from the colliery.
