Established to employ girls redundant as a result of the Cotton Famine of the 1860s, this clothing factory was designed by R Todd of Southport, for Timothy Coop and James Marsden Large additions were made in 1888, by Isitt and Verity. Following Isitt's death in 1891 further work was undertaken by William Verity shortly before is own death in 1892.
