                    A new Council School in Bazley Road, Northenden, Cheshire, was opened on Monday. It provides room for 400 scholars and in addition to the normal subjects, accommodation has been made for instruction in science, handicrafts, laundry work, cookery and housewifery. There is also a garden for nature study. The buildings were designed by Messrs Mangnall and Littlewood, Manchester, and built by Messrs Gerrards, Swinton. [Building News 26 August 1910 page 313]
