Hippodrome (former Empire), Church Street, Blackpool : Extensive Alterations.

The Hippodrome, Blackpool, which is being considerably altered, will, when completed, provide accommodation for an audience of 1,200 in the circle alone. The present seating capacity holds the record at 3,000 for the entire house. [Kinematograph Weekly 22 January 1920 page 149]

The Blackpool Entertainments Ltd., are proposing to erect four lock-up shops at the Hippodrome, Blackpool, for which plans are being prepared by Mr. Halstead Best, P.S.I., architect and surveyor, Church Street, Blackpool. The Architect 26 December 1924 page 402
