HOME OF INDUSTRY, BETHNAL GREEN - The new Home of Industry, Bethnal Green Road, E., was opened on the 18th of November. A building has been purchased and fitted up at a cost of £8,000, for the purpose of training boys for emigration, and for other philanthropic work carried on by Miss Macpherson. The architect was Mr. George Baines. The contractor was Mr. H. L. Holloway, of Deptford. [Builder 17 December 1887 page 838]
