Intermediate School, Merthyr

MERTHYR. THE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL - It is interesting to note that the contractors—Messrs Thomas Watkins and Co., Swansea—whose tender for the erection at Merthyr of the intermediate school was accepted lately, have come upon the ground near the hospital, and are proceeding with the work preliminary to the erection of the new block of buildings. The cost of the structure will exceed £5,200. The architect is Mr E. Lingen Barker, Hereford. [South Wales Daily News 4 October 1894 page7]
