Liberal Club. Atherton

A new Liberal club was opened at Atherton yesterday by Mr C Wright MP. The building has been in occupation since last April, and has cost, together with the furniture and fittings, about £2,000. The building comprises a billiard room with three tables, a reading room and a number of recreation and committee rooms, and is at once a handsome and commodious structure. The architect is Mr J C Prestwich, Bolton (sic).
