A Liberal Club is in course of erection at Sale, near Manchester, from plans by Mr Robert McBeath, of Sale. It is half-timbered in character, and occupies a site at the corner of two streets; the assembly hall, on the first floor, is 42ft by 21 feet and will be seated for 150 persons. Mr. J. Pennington, of Bowden, has taken the contract for erection at about £1,700. [Building News 25 October 1889 page 576].
