Opened 18 May 1891. Capacity 3,000 (1910). Built originally in 1891 to the designs of the architects Derbyshire and Smith, it was redecorated and some structural alterations were carried out in 1900 by Matcham. It was entirely remodelled again in 1913 by Bertie Crewe.
