Paris International Exhibition (Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne)

At the 1937 Paris International Exhibition (Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne), the commercial and industrial exhibits included a dedicated pavilion for Savonneries Lever (the French/Belgian manufacturing arm of Lever Brothers / Unilever).

A BIGGER "DIPPER" - An enlarged edition of Blackpool's Big Dipper is to be a feature of the international exhibition to be held in Paris next summer. Costing £20,000 it will be longer and speedier than its Blackpool rival. Key men employed at Blackpool will assist in its construction. The station of the Paris structure is to built to the design of Mr. J. Emberton, a London architect who has been closely associated with Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Mr. C. Page, the Pleasure Beach engineer will be responsible for the construction of the Paris ride. [Lytham Times 14 August 1936 page 9]
