Situated on a corner site at the junction of Church Street and Albert Street, the latter now pedestrianised and incorporated into Eccles Shopping Centre. Built for Parr’s Bank Limited in an Edwardian Baroque style to the designs of Potts Son and Hennings, architects, of Manchester, who were concurrently involved in the design and construction of the new library (qv) sited a few yards away.

Two bays to Church Street, chamfered corner. Portland stone to ground floor string course with red pressed brick and Portland stone above. Two floors and attic storey set behind a low parapet. Parr’s Bank occupied the ground floor and basement. Corner entrance with consoles and open segmental pedimented aedicule. Elliptical bay above at first floor level. The lettable offices above (Bank Chambers) were entered from a separate door on Church Street. In 1911 these were occupied by Wesleyan and General Assurance Society
