One of Coventry’s first cinemas, the Picture Palace was licensed in October 1910, and opened with a capacity of 520. It closed in 1911, seemingly no application having been made for the renewal of the licence. The building suffered bomb damage in 1941, although there was still factory plant on the site in the 1990s.
