                    Mr T Brammall Daniel is the architect of the building, which is in the modern perpendicular style. In a semi-basement there is a swimming pool 90 feet long and 30 feet broad, and two large lodge rooms. On the main entrance floor there is a large cinematograph hall, billiard room, and canteen, and above that the gymnasium 72 feet long by 38 feet. On the top floor there are the boys’ club and the girls’ club, each with a separate entrance from the street. [Times 2 June 1921 page 13]
