MANCHESTER DISTRICT LIBRARIES - Three new municipal free libraries are now in course of erection in Manchester. All have been designed by Mr. H. Price, the city architect. they will be provided with special accommodation for women, collections of books suitable for children and will also be on the "open access" principal. The first is the Bradford (East Manchester) Library, which is being erected in a street off Ashton New‑road, and will be open by the autumn. The Chorlton‑cum‑Hardy Library is also expected to be ready for opening by September. The third, the Didsbury Library, in Wilmslow‑road, is not so advanced in construction as the others.
