Sportsman Inn, Firs Lane, Leigh

By the proposal the superficial area of the public house would be increased from 1,792 square feet to 3,365 square feet. There would be one drinking room less than in the old building and the passage and hall would be made wider. In order to effect the alterations eight old and insanitary cottages would be pulled down. There would also be a bowling green. The licensing bench were unanimous in their refusal to the proposals.
