St. Andrew's Church Schools, Wellington Road, Portslade, Hove, East Sussex

In April 1912 E H Lingen Barker submitted a sketch plan of the proposed school to the school authorities.A litle over two years later the new schools were formally opened.

The Bishop of Chichester opened on Saturday last the new schools for St. Andrew's. Portslade. They consist of eight classrooms for boys on the ground floor and five above for girls, with a roof playground. The cost (including land) has slightly exceeded £5.000. The architect was Mr E H Lingen Barker, of 4. Moscow-court, W., and the- builder Mr J H Jerram, of Plaistow, E. [Building News 1 May 1914 page 624]
