In this competition, announced in September 1911, sixty-one plans were submitted. Mr. J. S. Gibson, V.P.R.I.B.A., acted as the assessor and the competition was won by Ivor Jones & Percy Thomas of Cardiff. Plans and elevations of the second placed scheme by Cooper and Slater were also illustrated.
