The Princess Christian College, 26 Wilbraham Road, Fallowfield, Manchester

The Princess Christian College was a residential establishment offering “ladies” training in childcare – professional nursery nurses and elite nannies. The college's first patron was Princess Christian, the third daughter of Queen Victoria. Founded in Withington in 1901, the college closed in 1915 due to the First World War, reopening in 1919 in new premises at 26 Wilbraham Road, Fallowfield. Here it remained until closure in 2023
