                    Located at the corner of Spinning Jenny Way and King Street, Leigh, the Regal Cinema opened on 25th June 1938 It was designed in the typical Art Deco style practiced by Associated British Cinemas (ABC) in-house architect W.R. Glen with seating for 1,068 in the stalls and 498 in the circle. The Regal Cinema was re-named ABC in around 1962 and closed as a cinema on 4th January 1969.Converted into a Bingo Club it survived a further twenty-five years before demolition in the mid-1990s .
