Tipton Gas Works (Architectural Competition)

TIPTON GAS WORKS - The Tipton Local Board have awarded the first premium of £100 to Mr. Proud, of Birmingham; and the second of £50 to Messrs. Bromilow and Cheers, of London and Liverpool. [Builder 11 December 1880 page 709]

TIPTON GAS WORKS - In June last the Tipton local board invited designs for a gas-works to provide for an annual consumption of 60,000,000 cubic feet. The awards have now been made, Mr. Pond, of Burham, obtaining the first premium of £100, and Messrs. Bromilow and Cheers, of 35, Queen Victoria-street, London, and 21, Harrington-street, Liverpool, the second of £50. [Building News 10 December 1880 page 687]
