                    TODMORDEN - The Guardians of the Todmorden Union have adopted plans which have been prepared by Mr. Jesse Horsfall, F.R.I.B.A., for the erection of new union offices in Hall-street, immediately adjoining the free library. The offices will be of Yorkshire stone, and the elevation has been designed to be in keeping with the library. 0n the ground floor is a vestibule and passage, 7 feet. wide, with offices on each side for various union officials, and a large hall: at the rear is a waiting-room 21 feet by 15 feet, adjoining a. committee-room 23 feet by 17 feet; also a caretaker's living-room, scullery, WC., lavatory, etc. [Building News 29 June 1900 page 894]
