The foundation stone of a new Unitarian chapel at Accrington was laid on Friday last. The building will be in the Gothic style, and will be 69 feet 6 inches in length and 31 feet broad. The building is to accommodate about 500 persons. Mr Waddington, of Padiham, is the architect. [Building News 26 April 1867 page 296]
