At the monthly meeting of the Manchester School Board the designs sent in for the Upper Jackson Street School were considered and it was resolved to give this commission to Messrs Royle and Bennett, the first premium to go to Mr Lord, the second to Mr Potts and the third to Messrs Mangnall and Littlewood.
