In 1888 the Stockport Road Wesleyan Chapel added new schools in matching style abutting the north-west corner of the chapel (qv) built six years earlier, at an estimated cost of £1,370. The memorial stone laid Saturday 28 July 1888 by Mrs Joan Blackwell of Godley.
