Charles Sydney Ingham, architect of Southport and Manchester, the son of Charles H Ingham and Lucy Jane Ingham was born at Cheadle Hulme in 1866. By 1881 the family had moved to Southport and it was here that he first established his practice about 1890. By 1895 he had also opened an office in Manchester. Little is known of his activities after 1900.
