                    The church is a very handsome edifice, built of stone, in the Perpendicular style of architecture, from the designs of Mr E H Shellard, of Manchester, and comprises a nave and two side aisles, a chancel at the east end, a tower seventy or eighty feet high at the west end, a porch on the north side and a vestry on the south side.
