National Schools, Dukinfield
NEW CHURCH SCHOOLS. DUKINFIELD - The new schools in connection with St John’s Church, Dukinfield are rapidly approaching towards a state of completion, and form quite a new and important feature to the neighbourhood in which they are situated. The style of architecture chosen by the architect, Mr Shellard, of Manchester, is Tudor English, and we may safely assert that few buildings of modern date have been designed more strictly in accordance with ancient examples, and reflect credit upon the parties connected with the undertaking. … They are calculated to contain upwards of 600 children, and there is a house erected for the master and mistress.
