A new School Chapel for the Roman Catholics is in course of erection at Wilmslow, near Manchester. Mr. Herbert E. Tijou, of Manchester, is the architect, and John Davis is the contractor. The cost of school chapel will about £700. [Building News 22 October 1875 page 467]
The school-chapel stood in Alma Lane. It was replaced in 1911-1914 with the Church of the Sacred Heart and St Teresa, built on a new site in Green Lane donated by the De Trafford family.
