Tattersall and Dickson
A partnership between Richard Tattersall and Thomas Dickson had been formed by April 1843. In 1842 Richard Tattersall had obtained what was to prove his last commission, the Moral and Industrial Schools at Swinton a massive undertaking for the Manchester Board of Guardians. Work the Moral and Industrial Schools was to prove too great a strain on Richard Tatterhall’s health and he was to die in confinement in 1844. The partnership subsisting and carried on by Richard Tattersall and Thomas Dickson, as Architects, in Manchester, under the firm of Tattersall and Dickson, was dissolved by mutual consent on 17 July 1844 . All debts due and owing to or from the said concern were to be received and paid by Thomas Dickson.
