Archibald Duncan Watson
Archibald Duncan Watson is known to have been in partnership with George Heywood Truefitt from 1894 to 1899 and may thus have been involved with continuing works at Glen Tanar and the Aboyne estates. He was born at Thorney Cambridgeshire in 1861/2, the son of Charles Frederick Watson, commission agent, the family later moving to Stamford Lincolnshire. Nothing is yet known of his subsequent education and training, however, in 1894 he exhibited designs jointly with G H Truefitt for the London and South Western Bank, Holloway Road at the Royal Academy Exhibition. Directory entries indicate that the partnership of Truefitt and Watson continued at 5 Bloomsbury Square until at least 1899 but details of Watson's subsequent career remain unclear. RIBA records suggest that he was still in practice in 1914
