George Oliver Bird was the son of Thomas Bird, architect, (qv) and his partner between 1862 and the latter’s death in1869. Clifton Wilkinson Whittenbury joined him in partnership in 1874 under the style Bird and Whittenbury and continued the firm as sole representative following the death of George Oliver Bird in 1878.
