Richard Fletcher Beaumont was born in Manchester in 1885, the sixth son of John Beaumont, a wool draper, and his wife Martha, and the younger brother of James W Beaumont (qv). In 1861 the family were living at Crumpsall but in 1871 had move to “The Firs” Fulshaw near Wilmslow.  He was initially employed by a builder but by 1881 was described as an architect. In partnership 1887- about 1894 he was in partnership with his brother, James William Beaumont, at Manchester and London. By 1890 he had moved to London and then to Nutfield Surrey.

On 27 April at Bromley Congregational Church Kent, by the Rev J Page, assisted by Rev Allanson Picton, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, R Fletcher Beaumont, sixth? son of John Beaumont Esq of the Firs Wilmslow Cheshire married Eliza Agnes (Lizzie)  the eldest daughter of James Hudson Esq JP (and sometime High Sheriff of Surrey) of Banavie Beckenham Kent. In 1921 death of R F Fletcher died in 1921 at Lee-on-Solent, Portsmouth
