Proposed Weaving Shed, Blackrod

In 1907 George Temperly unsuccessfully sued the Blackrod Manufacturing Company for non-payment of his fee. To validate his professional standing it was declared that he had done work for the very best people connected with the erection of mills such as Messrs Tootal Broadhurst Lee Co Ltd. He had also done work in the States, Japan and Brazil and at the present moment was engaged on four large mills in Bolton (Bolton Journal & Guardian Vol XXXVI No 1863. 12 July 1907 Page 2 quoted in Jones Industrial Architecture)
