NEW ATHERTON MILL - In connection with the building of the Ena Spinning Company’s mill at Atherton the first sod was cut on Saturday. The mill will contain 87,072 mule spindles and 12,880 ring spindles. The machinery, supplied by Dobson and Barlow, will be powered by a patent two cycle double acting gas-driven engine of 1,400 horse power supplied by Mather and Platt.
