A terrace of four houses built of red sandstone and roughcast render above a stone plinth with Westmorland slate roof. Complex asymmetrical elevation and far larger plan than would be required for mere agricultural labourer’s cottages. The houses are assumed to have been designed for James Darcy Lever of Thornton House on the opposite side of Raby Road. Datestone 1906.
