NEW STOCKPORT CINEMA - Preliminary work in connection with the Astoria Cinema which is to be erected in Buxton Road, Great Moor, Stockport, is well in hand. The scheme provides tor a hall to seat 1,400, billiard hall with eleven tables, fourteen shops. Twelve-fourteen houses and about thirty lock-up garages. On the ground floor of the cinema there will be accommodation for 1,133 and in the balcony 267. Waiting rooms will also be provided. Designed on the modern lines, the Astoria will be the finest cinema in the town. The architect is C.
