Albert House 29-31 Dale Street
Built of brick and Portland stone with slate roofs. Situated at the corner of Dale Street and Newton Street. When first built the central staircase and lifts had glass-roofed atria on each side, although subsequently these were incorporated into the general floor-space at each level. Generally the building had open-plan floors with some stud partitioning. Occupied/ owned by? Pugh Davies & Co Ltd.
April 2000 - proposed sale of the building for residential conversion of the upper floors, car parking in the basement and continued commercial use at ground floor. As part of the conversion it was noted that the former atria areas could be re-opened. Detailed planning permission had been obtained for 42 apartments and penthouses.
