NEW LEVENSHULME SCHOOL: The second Council School - Alma Park - built in Levenshulme Urban district will be open to scholars resident in the Council’s area tomorrow (Tuesday). .. The Alma Park School is in Errwood Road, and provides for 1,040 children, of whom 400 will be in the infants’ department, which is detached from the main school. The Lancashire County Council’s architect Mr E Littler (sic) has designed the building on modern lines, the whole of the classroom accommodation being arranged round a lofty central hall. Electric light has been installed, and a large plying field has been provided for the physical education of the scholars. [Manchester Guardian 12 August 1907 page 11]
